JY is an “agrifoodie” in purpose investment. He leads Creadev Asia the growth equity investments firm of the Mulliez family’s business - an autonomous federation of over 150 companies, which employ about 600,000 people in more than 60 countries with Leading businesses such as Auchan, Decathlon, Leroy Merlin, Boulanger. Creadev was launched in 2002 and is the evergreen investment arm of the family with offices in Paris, New York, Singapore & Nairobi. Creadev invests €250m per year split among 3 industries : food, health, responsible consumption. JY joined Creadev in 2022 and has over two decades experience in the Agrifood business development and financing. Prior to joining Creadev, JY spent 15 years originating, advising, and financing transactions in agriculture, food, and retail across Asia at Mizuho Bank and Rabobank. JY established his first-hand sector agrifood proficiency by managing the Chinese supply chain of Neovia (now ADM), a global animal nutrition group for five years. JY has a Master of Food Science from ONIRIS, Nantes Atlantic College of Veterinary Medicine, Food Science and Engineering, France, and a Sustainable Finance certificate from the University of Cambridge.
